Cookie Policy
What we store on your device when you use attrevo.com and the Attrevo application, why we store it, and how to opt out.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We also use closely related technologies — localStorage and sessionStorage — and refer to all of them as "cookies" in this policy.
2. Essential cookies
These are required for the service to function. They cannot be switched off, and under the NDPR they do not require consent because without them the service you asked for cannot be delivered.

3. Analytics and attribution cookies
These are set by the Attrevo tracking snippet on websites that have installed it — including our own. They are non-essential and require consent. Nothing is collected until a visitor accepts.

The visitor ID is pseudonymous. It is not linked to a named individual unless the visitor submits identifying information — such as an email address or phone number — through a form on the site.
4. Third-party cookies
Some features load third-party services that set their own cookies:
- Authentication — our sign-in provider sets session cookies. Essential.
- Payments — our payment provider may set cookies during checkout for fraud prevention. Essential to completing a transaction.
- Live chat — the chat widget sets cookies to preserve conversation history between visits. It loads in two circumstances:
- For signed-in Attrevo users: the widget loads as part of the support service you have subscribed to, on the legal basis of contract performance.
- For anonymous visitors on attrevo.com: the widget loads only after you accept cookies on the consent banner. If you decline, it is never requested and its provider receives no request from your browser.
We do not run advertising or cross-site retargeting cookies on attrevo.com.
5. How to opt out
- Consent banner — decline non-essential cookies when the banner appears, on our site or on any site running the Attrevo snippet. Declining stops attribution tracking entirely.
- Change your mind — clear the site's cookies to make the banner reappear, then choose again.
- Browser controls — every major browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in.
- Do Not Track — where a browser sends a DNT signal, the Attrevo snippet treats it as a decline.
6. Cookies and the NDPR
Under the NDPR, storing non-essential cookies requires the data subject's freely given, specific, and informed consent. Our consent banner is built to that standard: tracking is withheld until a decision is made, declining is as easy as accepting, and each decision is recorded with a timestamp so it can be evidenced.
If you operate a website using the Attrevo snippet, you are the data controller for those cookies. Your obligations are set out on our NDPR Compliance page.
